Re: Rides off I-80 and Foresthill
I wish there was a safe place to put a trailer. I'm sure I could pay the camp at the beginning of bowman lakes road to watch a trailer but that means driving in 10 miles, unloading, then back 10 miles to the camp then 10 miles back to dirt...

Re: Wolverine - old name, new machine!
Yeah I'm looking for something more utilitarian not super fast. I also like the fact that the wolverine has better low end torque than most and the price point is right. I have seen lift kits for these as well. I want to be able to take it to the rubicon or run up signal peak and stuff like that. I'...

Re: Rides off I-80 and Foresthill
So I went out to bowman yesterday. Parked my truck where it turns to dirt and an loaded the quad. Where do people normally park their trucks and trailers when bringing stuff in? I saw a lot of side by sides and didn't see any trucks or trailers parked anywhere...

Re: Wolverine - old name, new machine!
I'm looking at possibly picking one up this summer. I really shouldn't but I want one and it's something my significant other and I can do together. I have a few questions. First, anything you don't like or have any problems? And second, what speed does it like to cruise at? My quad does almost 40 b...

Dutch flat
You guys ever explore dutch flat area? I know a few trails around and a lot of fire roads you can blast around every time I go I find something new. Lots of trails along the power lines and some nice swimming holes to cool off when things are hot.

Really?! That dirt road isn't open to ohv? That sucks. Well I'll ride it till I get in trouble. I thought all that was open to ohv stuff.

Re: Off to Bowman
Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking. Might try to Billy goat up some mountains. I know there used to be a trail from east of sawmill that went up to the faucherie waterfalls. Gonna see if I can get to them on the quad.

Re: Off to Bowman
Seeing that makes me want a wolverine really bad. So if I want the toughest terrain around bowman where do I go? I know a few spots on the other side by Cisco and fordyce but I'm looking for something close to faucherie, sawmill and bowman.

Well that's unfortunate. I likes the rough road. It keeps the riff raff out.

Re: just going to set this right here...
Ha yeah it was a fun quad when it was running, I just got burnt out on it and I was too worried about something going bad. Oh yeah the ecm also fried. Had to replace that. It's funny cause everyone I have ever talked to that owns one loves it. Except changing belts.

Where is fr-19? Only been to sugar pine in forest Hill, and I lived in Truckee for a little bit. I know a few areas between Colfax and the summit to ride. Greenhorn Creek and some places along the rr tracks. Definitely excited to check out more around bowman now that I have a quad. It's a pain drivi...

Re: just going to set this right here...
I sold my 07 sportsman 800 about a year ago. That thing was fast and rode nice bit it was always breaking down. I had to replace my fuel pump, t bap sensor, seat frame, and a pile of other parts as well. Thing wouldn't stay running. Pretty sure I had everything sorted out but I just didn't trust it ...
