Off to Bowman
Time to run the Wolverine around the Bowman area, still doing the break-in. What a mob scene. Looks like Grouse and Lindsey and Carr were still not accessible since there was a distinct lack of cars around the access roads. No shortage of people out around Bowman though - the campsites were mobbed. ...

Re: New Member...Check in
Hey guys. Looking for riding buddies. Live just north of auburn, ca. Grew up riding around colfax. Always looking for new places to ride and people to ride with. I ride a 2002 honda foreman 450. Ole tried and true machine. May pick up a side by side in the next year or 2. Welcome aboard Ben! I didn...

Re: Eric June - GrizzlyGuy - RIP
Riding around the Bowman area was hard this weekend, I still kept thinking of things that I wanted to check out and report back on with tracks and waypoints. I call the gate on Meadow Lake Road that leads to the English Mountain 'road' "Eric's Gate" because he was interested in access and even went ...

Re: Finally riding, baby!
It's kind of a crappy area, hit hard by the fire and then hit hard by logging. Most of it is darned near barren. The American Hill Mine was a cool spot before the fire happened, now it's a desert.
Love it so far! But I still go by roads that say "quad" and the Grizz will still come out!

Yes, definitely, thanks for getting it functioning again. FB is nice, but the topical boards are great. I hope the former population comes back!

Wolverine - old name, new machine!
http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x5/grizzly55/Ride%20scenery/13%20Road%20in%20Wolverine/IMG_9642_zpsuoegrrfe.jpg I really looked closely at the Polaris General and the Kawi Teryx, but the Wolverine felt like the perfect ride for me. I like it for its design for the recreational trail and road rid...

Finally riding, baby!
Ah, took that title from one of Eric's early-season videos. Took the Wolverine out for some break-in time on FR-13 at American Hill - an easy area with no snow. Unfortunately, it's also now a pretty ugly area - burned through and through by the American Fire and hard-logged afterwards, it's just a m...

Re: Board Upgraded
Kinda like it! The board name disappears into the trees on the left, at least as I view it.Ken wrote:So we were version 3.012. Since the spammers won, phpbb upgraded to 3.19. No styles from 3.0 work anymore...so I have to go back to stock colors for now.
Need a better beer too....

Re: Off to Barney
Sadly, the American Fire of 2013 burned up the little mine building, only the tin remains. https://photos.smugmug.com/Outdoors/Rides-and-Hikes/Barney-Cavanah-Ridge-exploring/i-x67vwzj/0/O/IMG_9158.jpg The little dozer survived, amazingly. https://photos.smugmug.com/Outdoors/Rides-and-Hikes/Barney-Cav...

What is everyone doing - 2016 version
Thanks to Ken for getting things going again here - FB is fun, but the board and topic sections are better! What's everyone doing as the summer riding season is coming up? I''ve joined SxS world, but still have a Grizzly. Right tool for the job, I say. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x5/grizzly55...

Eric doing his waypointing thing - his catalog of waypoints and roads/trails is amazing. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x5/grizzly55/Ride%20scenery/IMG_2074Large.jpg On a ride from Soda Springs to Robinson Flat and a side trip to French Meadows. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x5/grizzly55/Ri...

Re: 10th Annual Mr. Miyagi - Sep 18-20 2015
No reservations, show up and grab a spot. There is a camp host who collects fees, but as I recall, it's dependent on whether the camp host is still there (or whether people want to stay outside of the campsites and avoid the fees.) It's mostly single spots, but all within a fairly compact area near ...
