Ken and I just left Sugar Bowl and passed Donner Lake. The Sherriff's Dept. was still searching by airboat for the body of the skater that fell through the ice. And, if you can believe this... not 300 yards down the shore... a group of about 15 people, wearing ice skates....were out about 30 yards into the lake!!! Some things never cease to amaze me! what gets me madder than anything is if they went down, we would pay for the search and rescue bill. . . we being Placer county people. . . I am all for search and rescue things as god forbid, i am ever out and get lost on my quad I would like them to be there, but I am safe about it. . . if someone just died in the near same location, am I going to go to the same spot? HELL NO . . .

They briefly showed some of the recovery the other day, they dropped a weighted treble hook the size of a basketball, then just jig it up and down until the snag something/somebody
