You wanted to see it....here it is.

I'll add the KMZ file when I'm done with it.

I know a guy...I met him at the Jeepers Jamboree. He rides dirt bikes...REGULARLY to Oregon. He knows exactly how to do it.

He said there is a gas station...about 150 miles into the trip out of Reno....he said that would be a good ride for us to start with.....as a warm up.

Let's do it! We wouldn't even need to camp, 150 miles would be an easy day ride if you started early enough, especially with gas at the halfway point. The sucky part would be getting baked in the sun for an entire day since he's talking about starting from Reno, but hey, it can't all be sunshine (shade?) and lollipops.

The mountain route to Oregon wouldn't have that problem but gas stops are tough to string together, and some of it is rough (in and out of Gold Valley) so dragging a trailer full of gas would be a PITA.

I have added the KMZ file of the waypoints and Route of our ride to Washington and back in the first post. Also includes a waypoint at the swimming hole.

I instantly thought of you Eric.....I'll be contacting Ben (he's Charlene Bower of Bower Media, father) about doing that ride.

That trip looked like it was a great ride and was probably a lot of fun with the all people that went.

The route looked long, how many miles was it?

I wonder how I could load that route into my Garmin?

Great Pictures too.

It was 91 or so miles...round trip.

If you can't load the KMZ....you can always plug in the Long/Lat into your GPS for the waypoints....they are in the KMZ.
