Yes it will. You may not need an entire kit, sometime a simple spring change or weight change will get you what you want. I switched to an '06 800 clutch recently and I can't believe how much of a difference it made!!
I had/have a Dalton kit in my old clutch and it worked great. The driven clutch on the 800 is different though, and it engages almost immediately.

I got my clutch from epi. You can take the clutch out yourself. But I had to have the dealer rebuild the clutch. I think it took them no more than a hour to rebuild.

Depends on you really. Can you change a belt in your garage? The kit I installed only required a spring and weight change. Took me a little longer than a belt change, because I pulled the clutch to swap the spring. You'll need a clutch puller, I made one by machining the center out of a 3/4" bolt and putting an old fuel pump pushrod in the center.

Here is the link. The kit I got was for the larger tires and for the heigher elevation. It works awesome.

Re: clucth kit
un sure of polaris but the clutch should be almost the same as can am's and most clutch kits are just a spring and some wights or some times just a spring. I have not done it on mine but you would have to pull the primary clutch to do it of course and that takes some redneck ingenuity or a factory tool most times (at least for can-am's). It looks like from kendo's post that polaris is the same.

Not at all, most rednecks cant make ...
now if you would have drilled that bolt out with a hand drill and vise grips and used welding rod... that be redneckKendo wrote: machining the center out of a 3/4" bolt and putting an old fuel pump pushrod in the center.
Im just saying you have to make something your self how ever you can or buy the factory puller bolt. I admit i bought the bolt. I have some areas in there that need to be greased ever 100 hours so i just bought the factory bolt it was worth the $20 bucks.
But yes your a redneck..

Here is a series of four short vids showing the entire process...

I have a slipping belt in my 700. I bought the machine last October, it was a plow only quad. I guess the guy used HI range too much.
I will go with the EPI Sport Ute kit for larger tires as I am also upping the tire size next year. Likely Bighorns in 27"
