Maximum and Ideal tires (size) for 2005 Brute Force 750i 4x4
Over this past weekend, I slammed my RF rim so hard as to make it non-serviceable, requiring a replacement of the stock BF rim.
Since I have fairly new MAXXIS All Trak tires, I'm thinking of going cheap and buying two new rims and rubber and placing them on the rear.
If that's the case, seems everyone likes the Bighorns, but what's the realistic usable size I should go with?

If you want to be a little more sporty...go with the 25" (it will measure out near 26"). If you go off-road, and would like a bit more clearance, clarence...go with 26"...will measure out to nearly 27".

I say go with the 25's still a bit taller that stock, and not as heavy as the larger sizes.
I bought 26'' mudlite xtr's..........next time 25'' bighorns... if these mudlite's ever wear out, I guess that's a good thing.

If your replacement rims are going to be non-stock, then you might want to keep an eye on the offset specs. Some folks on ATVUtah reported ending up wider than 50" with some rim/quad combinations. Out in that great stuff you ride it's all about being under 50", right?

I like the 26" bighorn for a little bit more clearance. But, if they measure a little more like a 27" then you may want to stick to 25" bighorns that measure more like 26" Make sense? With the Utah terrain a 26" tire would be the biggest I would go. If you go any bigger you may want to possibly do some clutch work. Not super necessary, but the added stress of a bigger tire may wreak havoc on that great Kawi belt system
