ATV Explorers is pretty cool. The Trip Report and Photo sections are incredible.

Totally offtopic now... My wife pretty much obsessed...(there's that word again) at wanting to run one.
I think she's insane...my friend ran one, and she was messed up for weeks.
A) how miles a week are you doing to prepare
B) when are you doing it?

The marathon is organized in part by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society-Team In Training Program.Ken wrote:Totally offtopic now... My wife pretty much obsessed...(there's that word again) at wanting to run one.

Participating in the marathon helps raise funds to invest in research for the society.
You can choose from several events that are held during the 2005 calendar year. INFO
There are two locations I am interested in. One location is a 100 mile bike ride in and around Tahoe, NV and the other is a 26.2 mile walk/run...Rock -n- Roll marathon which will be held the same day June 5, 2005 in San Diego, CA. INFO
As far as what I have been doing to train for this event. I follow a schedule of 6-7 days a week for training… {between 1.5-2 hrs. AM & PM}. So about two hours total of training daily.
I like Cross-Training. Variety is good. I mix it up so it doesn’t get too routine. A typical AM workout would include 20 miles on bike{40 total for the day}, 5 miles on treadmill, 30 mins., on Stair-Master, and follow up with strength training. Staying focused is important.
The other benefit of participating in this event with Team In Training is that they provide everything from coaching, group training, transportation, lodging, air flight, payment of entry fee and the chance to meet new people all for a great cause.
This is something I have always wanted to do. For the personal satisfaction of crossing the finish line will be a powerful experience.
If your wife wants to do one....that's cool.
Now…..about this Miyagi character…Gas On...Fall Off...lol...he’s not a stalker is he??? I mean….I caught a glimpse of the “Inmate” mug shot... and his obvious fetish for fake breasts while trying to balance on his Quad ….What the…?????? LOL

LOL...I didn't read it that closely. Girlish drama....Hmmm. I guess Miyagi has to stop arguing who's cuter...Nick Lachey or Justin Timberlake.
