ATV Obsession News - Archive 2010
November 6, 2010

In early 2011, the USFS will be closing an awesome ATV trail that takes from Cisco Grove to either Eagle Lakes Road or the top of Signal Peak. So on November 6, 2010, a few of us from ATVOBSESSION came to fully document this trail so others could at least see what we lost. Thank you USFS, you have no idea what you did ....now go count pine cones.

This is part 1, going up the mountain, filmed entirely in HD with a Canon HF 200 and a GoPro Hero HD camera.

Moab 2010. On Tuesday night, we were a little whooped after Cliffhanger, Kane Creek Canyon and Hell's Revenge....but we rested up and late in the day ran Moab Rim trail. We only went to the first outlook, but there's some nasty parts on the way and back. Word of the day? Stuff.

As in...Stuffed it!

Take a look around, there's some new stuff on ATVOBSESSION. I have changed the look (new navigation) and I have changed the font and size to make it easier to read.

The biggest up upgrade is permanently displaying the REVIEWS page. The page has been around since 2005, but never on permanent display. I didn't have a button for it....Lazy. Well...5 years later I decided to redo all the buttons, so I've included it. Much easier to find the stuff I've reviewed.

Secondly, Trails page. I've redone the trails page a bit with some minor mods (buttons). The biggest upgrade is the MOAB page. I've included KMZ files for many trails, along with my description. In many cases you can see our 2007 and 2010 tracks. 2007 is always Purple and 2010 is always Pink.

Look for upgrades to the other trails to look more like Moab.

Hope you like the improvements....it took ALL DAY!

Jack, Scott, Ryan and myself went to Moab the week after Jeep Safari for some heavy duty rock crawling. Well, if you go to MOAB and you're rock crawling, then AREA BFE is on your list! We had to do Helldorado again...so we did! Click on this link of our YouTube video to watch on YouTube. Be sure to watch in HD!

Scott and I went to China Wall last weekend. Killer snow, killer views and killer stuck!

February 13, 2010

On Saturday, Scott and I headed out to Cisco Grove to ride around on our tracks. It was a great day, cruising up the Switchback Trail about 1/2 up, then hitting Fordyce Lake, and Signal Peak. We cruised around the mountain, till Scott tossed a track. It turned into an adventure. Check out the Photo page to see more.

ATVOBSESSION has lost another member of our group. Chadd Burroughs, owner of Chester Mountain Sports passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 29. All of us at ATVOBSESSION are in shock over the death of our long-time friend. Chadd, with 2 D's, aka Homo was a fantastic friend to all, always a laugh and a smile with Chadd around. Words just don't express how we feel right now with our loss. Terry and Chadd, are now riding all the time together....giving each other shit....no doubt about it.

Here you can find a few photos of Chadd.

RIP BROTHER!

The first snow ride of the year. This year, Scott grabbed a set of Tatou 4S tracks for his Sportsman. So we decided to hit the Rubicon Trail, with about 3-4 feet of snow and see how they do!

Check out the pictures and video.

Scott runs the "BOX"..aka Little Sluice.
